To become who we wish to be – the truly beloved community, diverse in age, expression, race, class, and theology – we will need to be more comfortable than some of us are with messiness. We will need to risk our assumptions and transform our habits. Thoughts and stories about the complicated journey to where we might be bound.   Guest Minister:  Rev. Johnson

Installation of Rev. Jordinn Nelson Long

“No right is more precious to a free congregation than that of choosing its own minister.  No right is more precious to a Unitarian Universalist minister than that of choosing the congregation with whom she will share her ministry.”

Installation of Rev. Jordinn: Last May we conducted a joyous vote to unanimously call Rev. Jordinn as our new Settled Minister.  On April 2, 2017 at 3:00 pm we will conduct a special service to officially install Rev. Jordinn as our 22nd minister.  This is a shared and special ritual bonding our congregation with our minister.  All members are strongly encouraged to participate in this foundational milestone for our church community.  Come and lend your voice and presence to this very special occasion, where we will also be welcoming Rev. Ann Fox as our Minister Emeritus.

Guest Minister: Rev. Paul Langston-Daley – What does it mean to risk, to have courage? In light of the challenges that we face each day, how do we respond when the opportunity to take a risk presents itself? How do we risk faithfully? Our faith should strengthen and fortify us to take such risks. Our faith asks us to dig deeply and love boldly and in so doing, have the courage to love the hell out of the world.
