On April 23, we will recognize new members with a brief ceremony during the church service. A few words by the Minister, the President of the Board of Governors and a member of the Membership Committee will welcome them. The new members then sign the Membership Book and receive some welcoming gifts from the congregation.
To become who we wish to be – the truly beloved community, diverse in age, expression, race, class, and theology – we will need to be more comfortable than some of us are with messiness.
