Small Groups

It is sometimes difficult to get to know people only on a Sunday morning. Some years ago, we began small groups that meet twice a month for friendship and discussion.

Currently, we have one group that meets on the second and fourth Wednesday evening at 7 PM and a Wednesday daytime group that meets on the first and third Wednesday at 10 AM.  Note:  Both these groups meet offsite.

The groups begin by lighting a chalice and having a check-in with each one sharing something from their lives. They don’t cross-talk during this time. They also listen to one another deeply, without judgment. The facilitator then introduces a topic for discussion. Most often, this is preceded by a reading on the topic.

Group members mine their lives with respect to the topic and offer their thoughts and opinions. They end with a check-out and words for a chalice extinguishing. If you think you would like to be part of such a group or at least would like to try it out, please sign up in the Parish Hall–you’ll be glad you did!

Drumming Circle meets at 7 PM, second Sundays in the Parish House. All are welcome! There will be drums to play if you don’t have your own.
This group invites all men to join. They have some recreational activities as well as providing help to the church. For more information, please contact Andy Goyer:

The mission of the Small Group Ministry program is to provide a trusting and nurturing community in which our members can explore their spiritual beliefs, further their personal growth, serve the larger community, and establish and sustain deep connections among group members and our church community.

Please visit the Small Group Ministry Page for detailed information about this group.

Meets offsite on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays from 6:30 – 7:30pm. For more information, please contact:

First and third Tuesdays, 7 PM, Harrop Center.  If you wish to join, please contact the church office (508) 992-7081.
This group is more than 100 years old. It seeks to help benefit the lives of women and children and provides help to the church as well as having FUN!  All women are welcome.

Yes, we have Committees! As a congregation-governed religious community, we are individually empowered to help with the work of the church.

To that end, we hold a Committee Fair where each committee provides information to the community to enable everyone to find a fit. Please visit the Committees Page for a description of each of our Standing Committees.
